About the route
"Cora Serra & Cidades" is a five-day experience that combines the premier treks across the mountain ranges of Pirenópolis, Caxambu, Jaraguá, and Goiás with the history, culture, gastronomy, and poetry found along the "Caminho de Cora Coralina" (Cora Coralina Trail). With daily distances exceeding 20 km—encompassing ascents, descents, and uneven terrain—the trek is rated as moderately difficult to challenging and requires a good level of physical fitness. It is ideal for hikers who wish to experience the adventure, the landscapes, and the very essence of the Trail, but have only a few days available for their trip.

- In the event of adverse weather conditions or any situation that could compromise safety, the organizers reserve the right to modify the itinerary, interrupt the hike, or cancel the day’s activity.
- Participants are responsible for carrying any necessary ongoing medication, disclosing any relevant health conditions in advance, and bringing the personal equipment recommended for the hike.

Participation requirements
- To participate, you must be in a state of health and physical fitness suitable for long-distance hiking and multi-day treks. Participants are required to wear appropriate footwear and clothing, carry the recommended personal gear, and be prepared for changing weather conditions, uneven terrain, and prolonged sun exposure.
- Additionally, you must follow the guide’s instructions, respect the group’s pace, and pay close attention to your hydration and nutritional needs. Any ongoing medication, health conditions, allergies, physical limitations, or dietary restrictions must be disclosed to the organizers in advance.

People with heart, respiratory, orthopedic conditions or other health limitations that may be aggravated by physical exertion should also not participate, unless they have medical authorization.

All participants must follow the guide’s instructions, stay on the designated path, and immediately report any discomfort, injury, or difficulty. The guide, who will also operate the support vehicle, will provide assistance at strategic points along the route and will carry a first-aid kit.
The guide will also carry two-way radios—one for a participant to hold and one for the guide in the support vehicle—to ensure communication in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.
Participants will be covered by insurance for nature and adventure tourism activities, subject to the limits and conditions of the policy. In situations that could compromise safety—such as adverse weather conditions, issues along the route, or emergencies—the organizers reserve the right to modify, interrupt, or cancel the activity.
Safety is a shared responsibility. Therefore, each participant must disclose any relevant health conditions in advance, carry any necessary ongoing medication, use the recommended equipment, and act responsibly throughout the entire itinerary.
Certification
Upon completing the 300-kilometer Cora Coralina Trail—having walked at least 80 km—pilgrims must present their passport, properly filled out and stamped at official checkpoints along the route. Certification takes place in the city of Goiás, the journey’s final destination, where walkers are entitled to receive the Certificate of Completion for the Cora Coralina Trail.
More than just proof of the distance covered, the certificate symbolizes the overcoming of challenges, the encounters experienced, and the fulfillment of a journey defined by history, poetry, culture, and a deep connection to the Cerrado.
