A 5-Day Journey

5-DAY JOURNEY ON THE CORA TRAIL

A five-day experience that captures the essence of the Cora Coralina Trail, connecting Pirenópolis, Jaraguá, and the City of Goiás. The itinerary combines trekking through the Cerrado, mountain landscapes, rural experiences, history, culture, and gastronomy—a journey defined by paths, encounters, and poetry.

About the route

A five-day experience that captures the essence of the Cora Coralina Trail within the "Gold Region"—the area where the first settlements in the state of Goiás, including its original capital, were established. The route connects Pirenópolis (formerly Meia Ponte), Jaraguá (meaning "Lord of the Valley"), and the city of Goiás (formerly Vila Boa). Designed for individuals with physical limitations that make long-distance hiking difficult, this itinerary features gentler paths, avoiding steep climbs or rugged mountain crossings. Participants will cover approximately 15 km per day—for a total of 60 km—while enjoying the landscapes of the Cerrado, authentic rural experiences, history, culture, local cuisine, and poetry.

Certification

Upon completing the 300-kilometer route of the *Caminho de Cora Coralina*—a journey involving 60 km of walking per day over 5 days—pilgrims must present their passport, duly filled out and stamped at official checkpoints along the trail. Certification takes place in the city of Goiás, the final destination of the trek, where walkers are eligible to receive the *Caminho de Cora Coralina* Certificate of Completion.
More than just proof of the distance covered, the certificate symbolizes the overcoming of challenges, the meaningful encounters experienced, and the fulfillment of a journey steeped in history, poetry, culture, and a deep connection to the *Cerrado* landscape.
