- The activity will be led by a qualified tour guide from Pés no Cerrado Ecoturismo, who will also be responsible for driving the support vehicle.
- During the hike, the guide will provide logistical support at pre-designated strategic points, offering assistance to participants along the route.
- Before the start of each stage, a briefing will be held covering the route, support points, safety precautions, expected conduct, and the dynamics of the hike.
- All participants will be covered by insurance specifically designed for nature and adventure tourism, providing assistance and coverage for unforeseen events, in accordance with the terms of the policy.
- The support vehicle will be equipped with a first-aid kit, and the guide is trained to provide initial medical assistance if necessary.
- The routes will follow the official signage of the "Caminho de Cora Coralina" (Cora Coralina Trail), in compliance with visitation and environmental preservation guidelines.
- As an additional navigation tool, participants may use the routes provided by Pés no Cerrado via the Wikiloc app.
- All participants must follow the guide’s instructions, respect the pace set for the group, and remain on the marked trail.
- In the event of adverse weather conditions or any situation that could compromise safety, the organizers reserve the right to modify the itinerary, interrupt the hike, or cancel the day’s activity.
- Participants are responsible for carrying any necessary ongoing medication, disclosing any relevant health conditions in advance, and bringing the personal equipment recommended for the hike.
- All participants are expected to show respect for the environment, local communities, and fellow hikers, helping to ensure a safe, responsible, and enjoyable experience.

Participation requirements

  • To participate, you must be in a state of health and physical fitness suitable for long-distance hiking and multi-day treks. Participants are required to wear appropriate footwear and clothing, carry the recommended personal gear, and be prepared for changing weather conditions, uneven terrain, and prolonged sun exposure.
  • Additionally, you must follow the guide’s instructions, respect the group’s pace, and pay close attention to your hydration and nutritional needs. Any ongoing medication, health conditions, allergies, physical limitations, or dietary restrictions must be disclosed to the organizers in advance.

Who cannot participate

  • This activity is not recommended for individuals who lack the physical fitness required for long hikes undertaken over consecutive days. Furthermore, those with cardiac, respiratory, or orthopedic conditions—or any other health limitations that could be exacerbated by physical exertion—should not participate, unless they have received medical clearance.
  • Participation is prohibited for individuals under the influence of alcohol or other substances that may impair attention or compromise safety, as well as for those who refuse to use the recommended equipment or follow the guide’s instructions. Pregnant women, the elderly, minors, and individuals with reduced mobility must undergo an individual assessment beforehand, taking into account the specific characteristics and difficulty level of the route.

Safety policy

Pés no Cerrado Ecoturismo adopts preventive measures and safety protocols appropriate for nature and adventure tourism activities. Before each stage, participants will receive instructions regarding the route, weather conditions, support points, potential risks, and emergency procedures.
All participants must follow the guide’s instructions, stay on the designated path, and immediately report any discomfort, injury, or difficulty. The guide, who will also operate the support vehicle, will provide assistance at strategic points along the route and will carry a first-aid kit.
The guide will also carry two-way radios—one for a participant to hold and one for the guide in the support vehicle—to ensure communication in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.
Participants will be covered by insurance for nature and adventure tourism activities, subject to the limits and conditions of the policy. In situations that could compromise safety—such as adverse weather conditions, issues along the route, or emergencies—the organizers reserve the right to modify, interrupt, or cancel the activity.
Safety is a shared responsibility. Therefore, each participant must disclose any relevant health conditions in advance, carry any necessary ongoing medication, use the recommended equipment, and act responsibly throughout the entire itinerary.

Certification

Upon completing the 300-kilometer *Caminho de Cora Coralina* (Cora Coralina Trail), pilgrims must present their passports—duly filled out and stamped at official checkpoints along the route—to receive certification. This takes place in the *Cidade de Goiás*, the final destination of the journey, where hikers are awarded the *Caminho de Cora Coralina* Certificate of Completion.
More than just proof of the distance covered, the certificate symbolizes the overcoming of challenges, the meaningful encounters experienced, and the fulfillment of a journey steeped in history, poetry, culture, and a deep connection to the *Cerrado* (Brazilian savanna).
