Ilha Grande Trekking - April 2027

Trekking on Ilha Grande is a five-day expedition, featuring four days of hiking that cover over 40 kilometers across a landscape of idyllic beaches, waterfalls, traditional communities, and protected Atlantic Forest areas.

The adventure begins in Vila do Abraão and winds through the island’s diverse scenery, taking in beaches, waterfalls, and forests. Along the way, the group will visit the Feiticeira Waterfall, Praia do Funil, Freguesia de Santana, Bananal, Sítio Forte, Tapera, Ubatubinha, Praia Longa, Lagoa Verde, Araçatibinha, Praia Vermelha, and the Acaiá Grotto. Each stage offers a unique experience, blending adventure and quiet contemplation with opportunities for swimming and direct contact with nature.

With a moderate level of difficulty, the itinerary requires a physical fitness level suitable for hikes of up to 14 km per day. On three of the expedition days, participants will carry their own backpacks, so it is recommended to pack only the essentials.

The experience includes the guidance of specialized trek leaders, adventure insurance, four nights of accommodation in shared rooms, breakfasts, three additional meals, and photographs of the expedition. The group will consist of a minimum of two and a maximum of ten participants, ensuring personalized attention and fostering camaraderie among the hikers.

The meeting point is Santos Dumont Airport in Rio de Janeiro. From there, the group will travel to Angra dos Reis and take a boat to Ilha Grande. The return journey will take place on the morning of May 3rd, with a boat trip back to Angra dos Reis, followed by a transfer to Rio de Janeiro.
