About this expedition
The hike covers a total distance of 20 km (one way), beginning at the access gate to the PESJ (Serra do Japi State Park) and ending at the gateway on the road that ascends the mountain range from the eastern side. After starting, the route passes by the park headquarters, climbs the mountain range on the western side, reaches the towers, continues to the hang-gliding/paragliding launch ramp, heads back down to the towers, and proceeds with a stop at the "Paredão" (Cliffside) viewpoint. From there, it follows a trail to the "Poção da Serra" (a natural pool/waterhole) before descending toward the town.
This route is led by the Pés no Cerrado team, with a focus on safety, the group's pace and responsible experiences in nature.
