About this expedition
The Mount Roraima Expedition is an eight-day international journey that begins and ends in Boa Vista, Roraima, with the route taking place within Venezuelan territory. For the fourth time, Pés no Cerrado Ecoturismo will lead adventurers toward one of the oldest, most mysterious, and most impressive places on the planet.
The experience begins with a transfer to Santa Elena de Uairén, followed by a 4x4 vehicle journey to the indigenous community of Paraitepuy—the starting point for the trek. Along the way, we will traverse savannas, rivers, forests, and rocky terrain, spending nights in campsites while remaining in close contact with nature.
The ascent to the summit is made via the famous "Rampa" (Ramp), a natural access point to the top of Mount Roraima, which sits at an altitude of approximately 2,700 meters. Once atop the *tepuy* (tabletop mountain), we will explore unique landscapes and ancient rock formations. Highlights include the "Jacuzzis" (natural pools), the Abyss, *La Ventana* (The Window), Maverick Rock, the Valley of Crystals, *El Fosso* (The Pit), and the Triple Point—the spot that marks the border between Brazil, Venezuela, and Guyana.
This is a highly challenging expedition, recommended for individuals with good physical fitness and prior hiking experience. The itinerary includes the guidance of experienced professionals, all meals during the trek, camping equipment, 4x4 transport, logistical support, and satellite communication.
More than just reaching a mountain summit, this expedition is an experience of adventure, contemplation, and personal achievement. It is an opportunity to leave your daily routine behind, walk through extraordinary landscapes, and spend unforgettable days in deep connection with nature.
This route is led by the Pés no Cerrado team, with a focus on safety, the group's pace and responsible experiences in nature.
